The purpose of this association is to provide a forum for educators in and about agriculture to join together to further professional goals and to address concerns, issues, and related matters that serve to advocate the furtherance of all levels of agricultural education in Iowa.

The goals of this association are:

• To promote and advance agricultural education in the State of Iowa.
• To provide effective advocacy for the profession in both technical and academic arenas and promote a unified direction for the profession.
• To seek the assistance of business and industry, government, and other educational agencies in the state in preparing students for successful careers and a lifetime of choices in the global agriculture and natural resources system.
• To provide professional development and program improvement activities and products.
• To promote social and professional relationships among the persons interested in agricultural education.
• To cooperate and support the Iowa Association for Career and Technical Education, Association for Career and Technical Education, and National Association of Agricultural Educators, Inc. through active and unified membership in each.
